Dobromir Tsenovpiano

Dobromir Tsenov, a prizewinner at many national and international competitions, completed his Master’s Degree and Post-Graduate Diploma with distinction. For his PhD he is researching and recording the complete piano music by the neglected 20th century Bulgarian composer Lubomir Pipkov (1904 – 1974), a project that is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the composer’s death in 2024. Dobromir’s latest album, which was released in September 2022 by Toccata Classics, comprises piano works from Pipkov’s latest period and has received excellent reviews by the Gramophone magazine, the Music Web International and Classics Today.

Dominic Downspiano

Dominic Downs is a pianist, composer and conductor, currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music under Dr Murray McLachlan. Dominic is a prize-winning and highly experienced live performer who has been described on BBC1 as, ‘an extraordinary talent with a bright future ahead of him’. His compositions have included commissions for the Royal Family (2022) and several of his works have been awarded first prize in competitions.

Programme includes music by Chopin, Chaminade, Beethoven and Kabalevsky.

Tom Chapman - guitar

Born into a musical family in West Yorkshire, Tom was inspired by his parents, who both regularly played in a swing band, he began playing the classical guitar at the age of seven. Tom’s love of the classical guitar was a constant throughout his childhood and during his last years at school he targeted and subsequently won a coveted place at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, studying under Craig Ogden. During his time at college Tom has flourished as a soloist and chamber musician, taking every opportunity to perform in both contexts. ​

Matthew Lau - piano

Matthew Lau won 1st place at the Beethoven Junior Intercollegiate Piano competition to become the first winner of the competition from the Junior Royal Northern College of Music and went on to reach the final of the prestigious RNCM Gold Medal Competition. He is already well established in various concerts series and recitals across the UK
